Centerplate wins long term deal at the Copper Box Arena

Centerplate, which acquired the Lindley Group in April last year, has won a new contract to manage all catering services at the Copper Box Arena located at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.

Centerplate and Lindley were, until December last year, still operating under separate names. The company’s leadership teams were in the meantime working to craft a seamless and fully-integrated transition sharing best practices and enhancing operations across borders. The decision to re-brand came in part from interest from current and prospective clients in the company’s strengthened position within the live event market.

Combined, the new company will serve more than 115 million guests annually across more than 350 venues worldwide.

Centerplate has been managing catering at the 7,500 seat Copper Box arena since July. It has now been handed the 10-year deal by GLL and London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC).

At the site Centerplate will run the 40-cover Copper Box Café and for events will install mobile catering units, pop-up bars and restaurants. All of its sites will adhere to the LLDC’s Food Legacy Pledge.
