Dominvs Group set to add four new hotels to portfolio

Dominvs Group and contractor McAleer & Rushe have signed the first in a series of phased contracts, worth in excess of £100m, to build hotels across the UK.

The first contract is worth £26m with McAleer & Rushe to design and build two hotels in Aberdeen close to the airport. The Holiday Inn Express will offer 193 bedrooms, whilst the four-star Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport (pictured) will feature 165 bedrooms, meeting rooms and banqueting suites

McAleer & Rushe began construction in March 2014, and the Holiday Express is scheduled to open in June 2015, followed by the Crowne Plaza in September 2015.

The next new build is worth £25m - a 306-room Holiday Inn on Aytoun Street, in Manchester. This will be followed by the project to convert the Grade II-listed Tower Bridge Magistrates Court, London, into a four-star hotel. Further partnership projects in London and Oxford are expected to follow.

Dominvs already operates three hotels in the UK including the Holiday Inn Dumfries, and Holiday Inn Darlington North.
