Welcome Break celebrates top marks from VisitEngland

Welcome Break's services have been awarded top marks by VisitEngland as part of national tourist board's annual Motorway Service Area Quality Scheme.

Welcome Break’s Charnock Richard outlet, located on the M6 in Lancashire, has been awarded a top five star rating, which has only been granted to six other UK service stations.

From Welcome Break’s 27 sites, thirteen has been awarded a four star rating, with the rest gaining a three star accreditation.

VisitEngland assessors anonymously visited all the service stations twice over the last 12 months and completed a thorough quality report. The assessor looked at the whole of the customer journey, from initial arrival right through to the use of facilities, retail and catering outlets, to departure.

Welcome Break's sites offer top food brands such as Starbucks and Waitrose, and the firm is particularly focused on ensuring there is a wide range of food options to suit every customer’s preference. Welcome Break has been revamping its sites and opening new food courts.

Welcome Break's 27 sites are open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. The outlets attract 80 million motorway customers every year.
