Moxy Hotels, Marriott International’s bold experiential hotel brand, has debuted in the UK with the launch of Moxy Aberdeen Airport.
Moxy Aberdeen is the first in a strong pipeline of planned openings in the UK including London Excel, London Stratford and London Heathrow.

Moxy’s lively communal spaces, including its Living Rooms, game rooms and bar, come alive with a thoughtfully-crafted assemblage of spontaneous and organic happenings designed to cater to travellers and locals who like to hang-out with their friends and meet new ones, without breaking the bank.
The Moxy experience is ‘no place like home,’ it’s better; a bartender greets guests with a complimentary cocktail upon arrival.
The Living Room (pictured) features abundant power and USB outlets, and furiously fast and free Wi-Fi for ultimate connectivity. A high-energy yet cosy space for gatherings, special events or cocktails, the lounge plays host to eclectic upbeat music.
Located within walking distance of Aberdeen International Airport and just 20 minutes by car into Aberdeen city, the 200 contemporary guest rooms, ranging from Standard to Family size, are outfitted with sound-reducing walls, 42? LCD flat screen televisions, free Wi-Fi, abundant USB ports, comfortable bedding and deep-seated armchairs in calming, neutral fabrics.
Moxy’s 24/7 B&F (Beverage & Food), smart and fun self-service concept gives guests access to what they want, whenever they want it. The Moxy dining area offers lots of options for food and drink including fresh juices and a coffee bar. Guests can enjoy fresh sandwiches, pastries, and a range of healthy alternatives from salads to antipasti.
An evening Crockpot entrée will be served along with a variety of cocktails, craft beers and specialty wines. The bar is full-service and the hub of activity in the lobby – it also doubles as the hotel’s physical check in.
Moxy Aberdeen has flexible meeting rooms flooded with natural daylight. The meeting table itself doubles as a shuffleboard providing participants the opportunity to refresh, reenergise or get competitive, with a quick game.
Moxy Hotels first launched in Milan in September 2014. Moxy Tempe and Moxy Munich Airport opened in March 2016, followed by Moxy New Orleans in May 2016, Moxy Frankfurt Eschborn in August 2016 and Moxy Berlin in October 2016.
The brand is entering the market in a bold way, with several additional identified projects slated for major metropolitan locations across Europe, in London, Oslo and Vienna, all expected to open during 2017. Additional upcoming Moxy locations are planned for New York City, San Francisco, Nashville, Seattle and Chicago.
