Conrad London St James launches festive menus


Conrad London St James is celebrating the festive season with a special range of indulgent food and drink menus.

The Winter Afternoon Tea has been carefully curated by Executive Pastry Chef, Diana Sedlakova, incorporating traditional Christmas flavours with contemporary culinary techniques.

To start, a selection of savoury bites will include truffled duck and clementine rillettes on toasted brioche, followed by sandwiches with festive fillings such as roast Norfolk turkey with stuffing on walnut and sultana bread, and honey and mustard Wiltshire ham on cranberry bread. Cakes and pastries will also follow the festive theme, with a white chocolate and cranberry yule log, a Mont Blanc tartlet with chestnuts and cassis, and a Christmas cracker cake.

The afternoon tea is served alongside an extensive range of teas from Harney & Sons, while those looking to fully embrace the festive spirit can also enjoy free-flowing G.H. Mumm Champagne.

From 27 November to 23 December, guests of Blue Boar Restaurant will be able to enjoy Executive Chef Michael Riordan’s festive set menu including starters such as Hendrick’s Gin cured salmon with salt baked beets, and main courses of Roast Norfolk turkey with chestnut and cranberry stuffing and Charred Hereford beef short rib with shallots and a bone marrow crumb.

For dessert, there will be tempting choices such as Plum tart with honey ice cream and pistachio crunchy and Pressed apples with drunken blackberries and elderberry sorbet.

For Christmas Day itself, Blue Boar Restaurant is offering a luxurious festive lunch, starting with Champagne and canape´s, followed by a decadent five-course meal. Honey roast parsnip with apple cappuccino will be followed by smoked duck with foie gras terrine and Cornish brill and lobster cannelloni.

Guests will then be able to choose between Norfolk bronze turkey or Scottish Angus beef fillet, followed by a selection of festive desserts including Christmas pudding, chocolate and cherry trifle, and Sticky toffee pudding.
