CEO at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels steps down after 3 months

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) has today announced that Group Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer Fox has stepped down.

The Board has determined that Tan Kian Seng, the current Group Chief of Staff and former interim Group Chief Executive Officer prior to Fox's appointment, will resume the position as interim Group Chief Executive Officer from today.

Fox, a former president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, spent 10 years at InterContinental Hotels, and had replaced Aloysius Lee at M&C, who had resigned in January.

Fox started at M&C on 19 June, joining when M&C's revenues were under pressure from rising costs, especially at its hotels in London.

Last month, the hotel group's revenues in the first half of the year fell to £477m, compared to £485m the previous year.
