Top chefs collaborate with new delivery concept

Today Natalie Jones, founder of lifestyle brand Caro in Bruton, Somerset will launch Wanda, a carefully curated collection of dinner experiences, delivered to the door to be enjoyed at home or sent to a loved one.

Wanda will act as the perfect hostess, with each bespoke box containing a seasonal menu and recipes for the evening alongside a variety of objects and accessories that the eponymous host has personally selected, allowing recipients to build up an eclectic hosting cupboard for evenings to come.

Wanda’s first collection will be themed by country. First, transporting diners to the fresh and flavourful climes of Mexico, Wanda will be providing guests with a two course menu with the help of fellow Bruton resident and chef Merlin Labron-Johnson.

Drawing on his lifelong passion for the country and his philosophy of seasonal, farm to table cooking, Labron-Johnson has created the Mexican menu and recipes with sustainability in mind. In the box, guests will find the specially sourced chipotle chillis in spicy asado sauce, as well as syrup for a cocktail and chilli salt to line the rim of the two cocktail glasses inside.

To set the table, Wanda will provide a Mexican salsa bowl, a cake plate, two linen napkins, a vase with dried flowers, and a seagrass wall hanging to dress the room. Wanda will have even put together a ready-made playlist that will be the soundtrack to the evening until the early hours.

From September, those who order a box from Wanda will be dining in Greece. With a menu written by Marianna Leivaditaki, Head Chef of Morito on Hackney Road and author of cookbook, Aegean, hosts and their loved ones can expect classic Greek recipes alongside authentic Meditarannean accessories.

For those looking for reason to celebrate in October, Wanda will be taking her guests to Vietnam. Vietnamese-born Anais Van Manen, Head Chef of London restaurant Bao, will create the menu to compliment Wanda’s stylish accompaniments.

Wanda boxes can be ordered at www.wandabox.co.uk and cost £40 for a box for two people. 10% of profits will be donated to The World Food Programme.
