Honest Burgers will open a new restaurant in Wimbledon on Sunday, 26th October, marking the first of 12 planned openings across the UK.
The expansion will bring the British burger chain’s total to 51 locations, introducing the brand to three new regions and adding further sites in London and Bristol.
Tom Barton, Co-Founder of Honest Burgers, added: “When we started Honest back in Brixton, we wanted to do one thing really well: serve simple, quality British burgers and chips that people would love. We’re proud to be opening another restaurant in south London, not too far from where we began and we’re excited to welcome the Wimbledon community through the doors.”
Located at 88 The Broadway, in the heart of Wimbledon, the new Honest Burgers restaurant features the brand’s signature British racing green design, complete with handwritten chalkboards and exposed brickwork, and offers seating for up to 40 guests.
To mark the opening, Honest will host a series of community events, giving locals a taste of what the brand has to offer.
Honest Burgers prides itself on quality at every stage of the process. The brand operates its own butchery, crafting burgers from scratch using chopped British beef rather than minced, ensuring a steak-like texture and enhanced flavour. Each burger is served with the chain’s signature homemade rosemary-salted chips, made from fresh West Sussex potatoes.
The menu at Honest Burgers Wimbledon features the ‘OG’ Honest Burger, a Brixton original from 2011 with cheddar, smoked bacon, and a slow-cooked red onion relish. Classic beef options are complemented by smashed burgers, fried chicken, a vegetarian fritter, and vegan Beyond Meat burgers, while sides include onion rings, bacon gravy, and halloumi fries. In line with the brand’s local focus, the site will offer local craft beers and plans to debut a Wimbledon-special burger in the near future.
Honest Burgers continues its rapid expansion, with new restaurants planned for Norwich, Leamington Spa, and further locations in London and Bristol. This growth comes after the opening of the first Honest Smash + Grab site in Liverpool Street in late 2024 and the launch of Honest Insiders, the brand’s digital rewards app, in June 2025 — which has already been downloaded more than 70,000 times.
