Pizza Hut UK set to be sold to Pricoa for £100m

The UK subsidiary of Pizza Hut is close to being sold by Rutland Partners to debt investor Pricoa for £100m, according to The Times.

London private equity firm, Rutland paid £1 in 2012 to rescue Pizza Hut from Yum! Brands and is currently in advanced discussions with Pricoa, which is also based in the capital.

The Times quoted City sources as saying the sale of the pizza chain’s UK franchise could be announced in the next few weeks.

The first Pizza Hut in the UK opened in Islington over 40 years ago to a pizza craving nation, and now there are over 10,000 staff working in more than 260 restaurants up and down the country, serving 3 million diners a month.
