Bun House, Chinatown’s well loved Cantonese steamed bun specialist, has announced the opening of its new outpost at Camden Market Hawley Wharf in London NW1.
The new site along Regent’s Canal will transport North Londoners to the bustling streets of Hong Kong, paying homage to Cantonese Dai Pai Dong food stalls by serving some of Bun House’s favourite dishes alongside brand new menu additions.
Known for its innovative take on Cantonese cuisine, the menu will take a playful approach to the traditional dishes of Southern China, drawing inspiration from Founder Z’s childhood memories and favourite comfort foods. Snacks of Sticky Salt Lime Chicken Nuggets and Cumin, Salt and Pepper Waffle Fries will provide the perfect finger food alongside Crispy Shiitake Nuggets with House Ranch dip.
Larger dishes will include a more traditional Shanghai-style Cold Noodle dish with Sesame Chilli Sauce; Slow-Cooked Satay Beef Stew served with fluffy rice or glass noodles, and steaming Pork or Vegetable Dumplings in a Soy Sauce Vinaigrette.
Those with a sweet tooth will be able to indulge in Bun House’s new bitesize cubes of perfectly crisp Hong Kong French Toast, doused in a Cantonese coconut Kaya Butter, or the cult-favourite Custard Bun, made with salted egg yolk and coconut milk.
Opening just in time for summer, Bun House’s drinks menu will offer a range of summer coolers, including their Hong Kong Iced Milk Tea’s. Celebrating Asia’s burgeoning craft beer scene, Bun House will have a rotating selection of beers including the Lucky Buddha Beer and Tiger Beer, making it the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco drink and bite to eat.

Bun House at Camden’s Hawley Wharf is open for walk-ins only Sunday - Thursday from 11:30am - 6pm and from 11:30am - 9pm Friday - Saturday.
