Scott’s to open riverside restaurant in Richmond this autumn

Scott’s, one of the most renowned seafood restaurants in London from Caprice Holdings, will be opening a second location in the heart of Richmond, on the bank of the River Thames this autumn.

Residing on Whittaker Avenue, the riverside restaurant will span across two floors the lower with an impressive crustacean bar serving oysters, wine, Champagne and cocktails, as well as the upstairs with its central bar hosting DJs every Thursday to Saturday, appealing to a younger audience.

A 32-cover terrace will offer outstanding views and the perfect backdrop for year-round al fresco dining.

Boasting floor to ceiling windows, Scott’s Richmond will offer diners the most direct views of the River Thames. The walls of the main dining space will feature intricate details, including silver leaf mirrors with cast glass mouldings, reflecting the river light directly into the restaurant.

Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, the kitchen will have Chef Director Tim Hughes and Head Chef Tom Fraser at the helm. The menu will be complete with the finest fish and shellfish dishes alongside a variety of meat and seasonal game favourites, in an atmosphere exuding urbane sophistication.

New highlights will include Baked Spiced Crab with garlic and herb toast, the Scott’s Apple Smoked Salmon with pickled cucumber and baked brioche bread, and the iconic Shrimp Burger with kimchi ketchup and potato crisps, alongside an extensive drinks menu with the largest wine selection in the area.

Tim shared, “We are very excited to open Scott’s in the heart of Richmond. The opportunity to have a great seafood restaurant on the river is very special considering the Thames’ history as a gateway for fish merchants.

'It is the first time we have ventured out of the heartland of Mayfair, and I cannot wait to celebrate the opening with locals, visitors and regulars alike.”
