Middle Eastern restaurant group launches first UK site in London

Tel Aviv-born, cult-classic Miznon has finally arrived in London’s Soho, and a higher-end sister restaurant, HaSalon, set to open in Notting Hill later this year.

Founded by celebrity chef Eyal Shani in 2011, and renowned for its fresh, vibrant Israeli bites with punchy cocktails to match, the fast-casual, smash hit restaurant brings the flavours of the Mediterranean to London’s most vibrant neighbourhood.

With restaurants across the globe - Paris, Vienna, New York, Melbourne, Singapore, Boston - this latest outpost in Soho features a menu of dishes such as the Famous Original Whole Cauliflower, the Lamb Kebab, filled with sensual seasoned lamb together with grilled tomato and onions closed with tahini, spicy and pickles, and Minute Steak Plate, of minute steak flashed and served with tahini, salsa, spicy and tomato squeeze finished with fresh parsley.

Miznon have taken a unique approach to fresh bottled cocktails giving customers the option to spike four house-made cocktails with either Gin Miznon with notes of sage, juniper, coriander, licorice, angelica, sumac and pistachio or Miznon Vodka infused with sage.

The four house made drinks include: Sunset which combines the flavours of pomegranate, mint, lime and barberry, while Dawn combines lemon, verbena, thyme and grapefruit, Dusk features bergamot, tangerine and cinnamon, and Noon features cucumber, apple and celery. The cocktails can be enjoyed with either a 25ml or 50ml boozy kick or without any at all for low and no options.

Located on the buzzy Broadwick street and designed by long-time Miznon design partner, Jakov Turjeman, the Soho restaurant carries forth Miznon’s classic rustic design features of ornate tiles, and signature olive green that have become recognisable of the restaurant's global personality.

Eyal said, “A whole world of fairy tales lay in London coming from a crown that has never been dropped. I feel like Alice in Wonderland entering London, and I look forward to seeing how the magic we bring can put colour in the city's story.

'I feel passionate about bringing the beautiful spirit of London into my pita and already feel inspired by the colour and creativity of this magical land.”

Already reaching cult-classic status internationally, Miznon gained serious traction on Instagram in foodie circles and in magazines, winning ‘best burger in New York City’ by Time Out, ‘Best Lunch in Paris’ by Traveller Magazine, ’Best Dish’ by Food & Wine Magazine and the restaurant is globally renowned for its round the block, but worth the wait queues.
