UCC Coffee to unveil future of automation at London Coffee Festival

UCC Coffee UK & Ireland, the Total Coffee Solution, will launch the Black&White4 at this year’s London Coffee Festival (28-31 March).

Precision engineered by Swiss-manufacturer Thermoplan, the new super automatic machine delivers unprecedented precision, performance and power through a range of advanced features for high volume operators.

Full details of the machine, which is exclusive to UCC Coffee, will be revealed with the Black&White4 Experience – the first public viewing of the machine. The Black&White4 Experience will showcase the machine in gallery-style with an ‘exploded’ Black&White4 to show its key technology and features. Visitors will be able to taste coffee and use the machine to understand how it delivers consistent, quality coffee at scale.

Alongside the Black&White4 Experience, UCC Coffee’s stand will feature two distinct areas: The Coffee Hub and COFFEEWORKS Mission Control.

The Coffee Hub
• UCC Coffee’s single serve capsule capability will be brought to life with virtual reality. VR headsets will be used to walk visitors around UCC Coffee’s Centre of Excellence in Valance, showing the journey of its Nespresso and Dolce Gusto compatible capsules from seed to sip. The capsule range will be available to taste on stand as part of the experience
• Visitors will be able to experience COFFEEWORKS training in action. The COFFEEWORKS ethos of making coffee excellence simple will be explained and delivered through micro training sessions using Nuova Simonelli Appia and Aurelia traditional coffee machines
• The full range of coffee brands will be featured including a new-look Orang Utan Coffee, which supports the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Project’s mission to protect the critically endangered Sumatran orangutan. Over the weekend of the Festival, Orang Utan Coffee will take over the Coffee Hub to raise awareness for the cause

COFFEEWORKS Mission Control
• COFFEEWORKS Mission Control, in partnership with Nuova Simonelli, will demonstrate UCC Coffee’s data-driven, commercial approach to training and coffee excellence
• Festival goers will be hosted in invite-only, specially created sessions to show how COFFEEWORKS drives coffee excellence for at-scale operators by embedding a simple ethos, agreeing expectations and harnessing data to maintain high standards.
