Country Range Group adds Arthur David to group

The Country Range Group (CRG) has disclosed that Arthur David, a family-owned and independent wholesaler, has joined the dynamic buying group as its latest member.

Situated in Bishop Sutton, Bristol, Arthur David was established in 1962 and currently conducts more than 42,000 deliveries to caterers and chefs throughout the South West each month. The Arthur David team comprises over 435 staff members, and the business proudly involves three generations of the David family.

Starting from January 1st 2024, Arthur David will officially become a part of the Country Range Group, gaining immediate access to the group's influential buying power, comprehensive analysis, data, insights, the robust Country Range own brand portfolio, group publications, and participation in diverse marketing campaigns and promotions.

Country Range Group Chief Executive Martin Ward said: “It’s a great privilege on behalf of the Group and our members to welcome the Arthur David team to our growing family. Ever since Arthur David first opened as a fruit & veg merchant back in 1962, his company’s success has been based on great people, hard work, dedication and supreme customer service. They couldn’t be a better fit for CRG and we can’t wait to have them as members and get the exciting partnership started.”

Alex Rall, Managing Director of Arthur David, commented: “While many independent wholesale businesses are being swallowed up by the big players in the industry, we’re immensely proud of our independence, we love what we do and remain passionate about our customers. The Country Range Group has been leading the way and carrying the torch for independent wholesale businesses so we’re delighted to be part of the family and look forward to working closely with the other members to drive further success.”

Arthur David follows Brook Street Foodservice and Harlech Foodservice as the third new member to join the Country Range Group within the last 12 months.

The Country Range Group has experienced a bustling year marked by a record-breaking CRG annual event and the unveiling of a stunning revitalisation across the acclaimed Country Range own brand portfolio. This includes the introduction of a new logo and branding, vibrant packaging designs, captivating photography, and the launch of a new premium tier of products under the Country Range Signature brand.
