Rhubarb, the international premium hospitality group, has been appointed the official caterers for the new immersive theatre and dining experience Mamma Mia! The Party.
Launching in a bespoke venue within The O2 London on 29 August 2019, the contract will see rhubarb cater for more than 500 guests per show, across eight performances each week.
Mamma Mia! The Party will transform the specially-adapted venue into a beautiful taverna on the island of Skopelos, where much of the first Mamma Mia film was shot. Guests will feel as if they’re right in the heart of a Greek island paradise, sitting around tables in the taverna’s courtyard complete with a fountain, olive trees and bougainvillea. Guests will dine at the courtyard tables whilst the story, told through dialogue and ABBA songs, unfolds all around them.
Rhubarb has worked closely with the production team, including executive producer Björn Ulvaeus (member of ABBA) and producer Ingrid Sutej, to devise a delicious Greek feast that reflects the show’s high quality guest experience. The menu offers a generous 3-course meal featuring, handmade Mezze dips; traditional Greek salad; Spanakopita; Charred Octopus; Lamb Kleftiko; Beef Flank; a sweet dessert of Portokalopita orange cake, and much more.
