Bristol-originated sandwich provider, Sandwich Sandwich, is set to launch its first location in London following its recognition as Uber Eats' Restaurant of the Year for 2023.
The family-operated enterprise will establish its presence on Gresham Street in the heart of the City of London, securing a location previously held by the salad chain, Tossed.
Co-owner Josh Kleiner wrote on Instagram: 'When my dad first opened his small sandwich shop in Bristol 12 years ago, he could never have imagined that we would be bringing it to London. Frankly, I can't believe this is happening, and I think this is what people would normally describe as a ‘pinch-me' moment.
'I honestly can't put into words how excited yet nervous we all are. Naturally, I find myself focusing on the risks involved in making this move, but the love and support we receive on a daily basis tells us this is the right decision to make.'
Upon being honored with the title of Restaurant of the Year UK and Ireland by Uber Eats, Sandwich Sandwich, boasting three establishments in Bristol, received a generous sum of £100,000 to further enrich its business operations.
