Aspall Cyder gets green light for site expansion

Multi-million pound international manufacturing giant, Aspall Cyder has been given permission for the expansion of facilities at its Suffolk-based cider production business, creating seven new jobs.

The extension of the press building and the creation of a new intake building at the site, which has been approved by Mid Suffolk District Council (MSDC), is hoped to increase the company’s production to help it compete with European imports.

The family-run business was established in 1728 by Clement Chevallier. He planted the orchards at Aspall Hall in Suffolk. The Chevallier family still live and work among Clement’s orchards and today Aspall is run by the eighth generation of the family.
