Cordant Group secures £19.6m deal for eleven new UK Moxy Hotels

The Cordant Group's Projects division has won a £19.6m contract to support the development of eleven Moxy Hotels across the UK.

The division will provide a range of mechanical and electrical services during the construction of the hotels under a framework agreement with Vastint Hospitality, which is part of an international real estate organisation.

Specifically, Cordant Projects will be primarily responsible for the design and build of all the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) aspects of the 11 hotels, including sites at Heathrow, Stratford, Edinburgh, Bristol and York.

The remit includes all heating, air conditioning, lighting, ventilation, electrics and digital installations. In addition, Cordant Projects will utilise its experience to design and fit internal sprinkler systems within each room, as well as throughout corridors and other public areas of the hotels.

Giedrius Malakauskas, Construction Manager at Vastint Hospitality, said, “When working on major projects, it is vital to partner with organisations that are reliable and have the ability to continually deliver exceptional levels of service. During discussions it quickly became clear that Cordant Projects matched our requirements.

“The Moxy Hotel brand is designed to revolutionise the traditional economy hotel experience and excite the next generation of travellers and we look forward to completing this latest project.”
