Cordant launches new FM services business

The Cordant Group has pulled together a range of its business streams to launch the new Cordant Services, led by Chief Executive Chris Kenneally.

The group says this is a move designed to offer additional value and services to existing customers, while providing a strong foundation for an ambitious growth programme. It adds that the new operation is supported by a multi-million pound investment in technology and infrastructure.

Joining Kenneally is Jamie Reynolds, who takes on the role of Group Commercial Director. Together, they will look after four divisions which, Cordant says, will be closely aligned whilst retaining their individual specialist natures. All the group’s existing cleaning and security businesses are to be rebranded as Cordant Cleaning and Cordant Security respectively, and there will be two new divisions, Cordant Technical and Cordant Specialist Services.

Cordant Security (formerly Advance Security) has over 4500 employees and over 300 customers. It manages 1200 sites. Headed up by Edward Macfarlane, the business has clients in the professional services, property, retail, warehouse and distribution, defence, public, utilities and facilities management sectors.

Cordant Cleaning, headed up by Guy Pakenham, services around 550 sites across the UK. Encompassed within that is the cleaning, servicing and scheduling of 6500 London buses every day.
