First Scotland site for Marco Pierre White opens today


Marco Pierre White's MPW Steakhouse, Bar & Grill is opening today in Glasgow on Waterloo Street within Hotel Indigo. It's the renowned chef's first restaurant to open in Scotland.

Denis MacCann, general manager of Hotel Indigo and co-chairman of the Greater Glasgow Hotels Association (GGHA), said, 'We're delighted to be partnering with Marco to open the Steakhouse Bar & Grill at Hotel Indigo. We have a great dining scene in Glasgow and this new venture is only going to enhance what we offer.'

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill offers a range of regionally-inspired daily specials and a semi-private dining area.

The menu features classic starters such as: smoked salmon; potted duck, piccalilli; crispy fried calamari and crab cakes.

In addition to the expected selection of ribeye, sirloin, fillet and T-bone steaks, there are also fish dishes with smoked haddock, fillet of sea bass and garlic king prawns,

Mains courses include: steak and ale pie; free range pork sausage and mash; roast rump of lamb and duck breast as well as salad, vegetarian and pasta selections.

The dessert menu offers Cambridge burnt cream, classic bitter chocolate mousse and sticky toffee pudding, as well as a selection of cheeses, tea and coffee, liqueur coffee, cognacs, ports and dessert wines.
