Grosvenor Pubs and Inns launches Xmas meal boxes

In the spirit of festive feasting, the Grosvenor Pubs and Inns has created a special at home box, containing everything diners need for a hassle-free Christmas, which can be collected between midday 22 & 10pm 24 December.

The luxurious box features five lovingly-crafted courses using only the best sustainable British suppliers to ensure they can trace everything on plates back to its place of origin.

To start there's lobster in shell served alongside prawn and avocado salad, and spicy Bloody Mary sauce; potted duck liver and foie gras parfait with spiced pear chutney and brioche toast; or baked potato and truffle gnocchi, spinach, and Wookey Hole Cheddar cheese sauce.

For main dishes, diners can enjoy traditional Roast Norfolk bronze turkey, straw potato, watercress, redcurrants, pigs in blankets, and turkey gravy, or deviate from the norm and opt for luxury fish pie, with scallops, crab and prawns, Wookey Hole cheddar crust, and mixed herbs.

Veggies are well catered for with the puff pastry Wellington, spinach, roasted celeriac, mushroom duxelles and wild mushroom sauce.

Sides come in the form of buttered sprout tops (with optional bacon lardons); roast potatoes; braised red cabbage chestnuts; maple roast root vegetables; and deliciously festive, cranberry and gin jelly.

Desserts, which are all made by Grosvenor Pubs and Inns’ team of chefs, included chocolate mousse topped with honeycomb, and Christmas pudding strudel with warming brandy custard. Finally, there's Baked Mont D’or Vacherin, accompanied with spiced pear chutney and oat biscuits.

There’s even the option to pick up one of the Grosvenor Joints; Hampshire honey roast ham, or bacon lattice Turkey crown with confit.

For those wishing to forgo the cooking completely, Cricketers on the Green and The King’s Arms, both found in Surrey and operated by Grosvenor Pubs and Inns, are putting on a festive menu like no other for December. There’s a number of yuletide offerings available, such as 2 or 3 course Festive Menu and six-course showstopper Celebration Menu.
