Cameron House on Loch Lomond appoints new Director of Operations

Cameron House on Loch Lomond, a luxury five-star hotel, has appointed Gary Rice as its new Director of Operations.

With over 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Gary brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the hotel. As a member of the Executive Team, he will assist in the day-to-day operations, ensuring high customer service and standards. Additionally, he will be involved in recruitment, training, and retention efforts, while supporting Resort Director Michael Lavizani.

Glaswegian-born Gary has honed his expertise across a range of hotels in the UK, from Reading to Leeds, advancing through the ranks within renowned hospitality brands such as Hilton, Jurys, and Thistle. Over the past six years, he has been a key figure in the senior leadership team of the hotel management group Klarent Hospitality. He first served as Director of Operations for Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central before becoming General Manager at the sister Doubletree hotel in Glasgow Strathclyde. Highly motivated, Gary has successfully led his teams to receive several awards throughout his career, including a gold medal accreditation at the 2013 Scottish Hotel Awards.

Located on the banks of Loch Lomond in Trossachs National Park, Cameron House Hotel boasts 208 bedrooms, including 28 suites. The hotel offers multiple dining outlets, an award-winning spa, a marina, and two golf courses, including the 18-hole Championship Carrick golf course. The wider resort also features Cameron Lodges, which includes 115 self-catered lodges, cottages, and apartments.
