After acquiring Island Poké in July 2025, Honi Poke has unveiled the next stage in the evolution of both brands.
This strategic repositioning aims to enhance the customer experience across all channels, from in-store to delivery, serving occasions from lunch through dinner.
Starting January 2026, Honi Poke will continue to grow as the group’s flagship in-store brand, expanding its presence across London and beyond.
As part of this evolution, Island Poké locations will gradually transition into Honi Poke stores throughout 2026, beginning with Shoreditch, Broadgate, and Fenchurch.
At the same time, Island Poké will shift to a delivery-first model, focusing on evening dining, group occasions, and at-home experiences, while maintaining Bow Lane as its flagship location.
The repositioning reflects evolving consumer behaviours and clearer distinctions in how and when people choose to eat.
In-store dining will increasingly focus on everyday lunch and convenience occasions, while delivery will play a growing role in evening and group dining. This shift allows Island Poké to concentrate on its strengths – innovation, collaboration, events, and modern dining experiences beyond the traditional lunchtime offering.
A new, evolving menu will feature evening bowls, sharing platters, group bundles, sides, and the limited-edition guest bowls that Island Poké is renowned for.
Alongside the repositioning, the group has announced the appointment of Hilary Brett as Chief Executive Officer, effective January.
Formerly Operations Director, Hilary brings extensive hospitality experience from JKS Restaurants, MJMK, and White Rabbit Projects. With a proven track record in scaling multi-site, customer-focused food businesses, her thoughtful leadership empowers teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences that drive long-term commercial success.
Hilary Brett, CEO of Island Poké and Honi Poke, said: “I’m excited to step into the role of CEO at a pivotal moment for the business. What truly sets us apart is the exceptional talent across our teams and the relentless focus on product quality and innovation that continues to push our brands forward. With two distinct brands, each with a strong identity, loyal following, and passionate people behind them, this evolution gives us greater clarity in how we serve customers across different occasions – while remaining firmly rooted in the values that underpin everything we do. Working closely with Honi Poke’s founder, Volodymyr Martynov, our focus is on shaping the next phase of growth, including exploring franchise partnerships for Honi Poke in the UK and strengthening our foothold in France”
The changes will be implemented progressively from January 2026, with Island Poké’s delivery-first strategy launching alongside the initial Honi Poke store transitions.
Additional updates will be shared as the rollout continues throughout 2026.
