The Malone Lodge Hotel in South Belfast is set to reopen early next month after an 18-month, multi-million-pound refurbishment.
The 103-bedroom Victorian townhouse will relaunch under its new name, The Malone.
The Macklin family, who have owned and operated the hotel for two generations, said The Malone will feature redesigned guest rooms along with enhancements to the Greyhound Bar, Gallery Restaurant, lounge, and reception area.
The refurbishment will also create 20 new jobs.
Gareth Macklin, director of the Malone, said: “The Malone, which has already undergone multiple transformations, has been part of south Belfast for 35 years, and this feels like our most exciting chapter yet.
“Our new name reflects our identity: a sophisticated, contemporary boutique experience that honours the property’s history. This redevelopment is not just about the building - it’s about our guests, our staff, and the community we serve. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to see what we’ve created.”
To support its operations, The Malone has partnered with UK-based hotel management company Focus Hotels.
The property originally opened in 1945 as the Bowness Hotel.
