Shiva reportedly to sell four London Hilton hotels for £270m


Shiva Hotels is expected to sell four Hilton-branded hotels, with a combined 1,099 rooms, for a total of around £270m, according to The Times.

The firm is said to have appointed JLL and Eastdil Secured to advise on a possible sale of two Hampton by Hilton hotels at Waterloo and Gatwick, along with as the DoubleTree by Hilton at London ExCel (pictured) and the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5.

The company is selling the hotels as part of a refocusing on the luxury boutique hotel market, with plans to open Britain's first Curio hotel, Hilton's new boutique brand.

Shiva Hotels, which was founded by former Lehman Brothers derivatives trader Rishi Sachdev, is currently developing four unbranded luxury hotels in central London, while upgrading Kingsway Hall hotel, which it acquired a year ago for £96m.
