Frenchie to open in London in 2016

Chef Gregory Marchand is bringing his Parisian bistro brand, Frenchie, to a two-storey Covent Garden site in February next year.

Marchand is behind the highly successful Frenchie, Frenchie Wine Bar, Frenchie To Go and the brand new Wine Shop in Paris.

Marchand was formerly in the capital cooking notably at the Savoy, Mandarin Oriental and Fifteen, where the kitchen nickname 'Frenchie' stuck.

The menu at Frenchie Covent Garden will echo its Parisian counterpart, with simple, generous yet precise dishes heavily influenced by Marchand's travels from London to New York through Spain and Hong Kong. It also will offer an ever-changing carefully selected wine and list seasonal cocktails.

The new restaurant will featuring an informal dining room and bar on the ground floor, with a basement space available for larger groups to enjoy the open kitchen. The 18 bar seats on the ground floor will be for walk-ins,
