Pizza Express has posted full year sales results in the UK and Ireland, showing like-for-like sales fell by 1.3% in the 52 weeks to June 26.
The restaurant chain stated that the dip in sales was due to the overall slowdown in the casual dining market.
However, in like-for-like sales in the UK and Ireland, the company's overall turnover lifted by 14.1% to £488m.
For the period, Pizza Express saw its full annual operating profit remain virtually flat for the year to June 30.
The group is currently on an expansion drive with a further 18 in the UK and Ireland. Abroad its had opened 17 sites including 11 in China and Hong Kong.
