Jockey Club Catering wins Stadia & Arena of the Year award


Jockey Club Catering, a joint venture between The Jockey Club and Compass Group UK & Ireland, triumphed at the inaugural Sports and Leisure Catering Awards last night, receiving the ‘Stadia & Arena of the Year’ award for Cheltenham Racecourse.

Following a rigorous judging process, the award was presented during a ceremony held on 14 September in London.

The evening ceremony, which saw Jockey Club Catering in company with many high-profile, global sporting grounds, celebrated the catering industries achievements throughout the year.

Jockey Club Catering secured the ‘Stadia & Arena of the Year’ award for Cheltenham Racecourse recognising the major £45m investment made at Cheltenham which has formed one of the world's foremost racing and non-race day experiences.

Nick Campbell, chief operations officer at Jockey Club Catering, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have won the ‘Stadia & Arena of the Year’ award at the first Sports and Leisure Catering Awards.

Jockey Club Catering is a joint venture between The Jockey Club, the largest commercial group in British racing, and Compass Group UK & Ireland. The partnership was launched in 2009 with the aim of providing premium quality catering at all 15 of The Jockey Club racecourses. In 2013, the exclusive business relationship was extended until 2025.
