Hogs Back Brewery boosts production with new equipment & facilities

Hogs Back Brewery is investing £400k in the expansion of its Surrey-based brewery, boosting its production by 30%, and building a second warehouse, and a visitor centre.

The Tongham site has already seen the installation of three new fermenting and maturation vessels, as the firm aims to keep up with the demand for its craft beer.

The Hogs Back Brewery, founded in 1992, was one of the first of a new generation of micro-breweries in Surrey and is now the largest in the county.

Rupert Thompson, Hogs Back Brewery managing director, said: “Since then, there has been a huge resurgence in consumer interest in beer. After decades of domination by global brewers producing homogenous lagers, the beer market in the UK has been completely transformed.'
