Shake Shack to introduce Chick’n Shack to UK sites

US-based burger chain, Shake Shack is set to introduce Chick’n Shack within selected UK sites.

The new chicken burger, which launched in America last year, is made from 100% British chicken breast, slow-cooked in a creamy buttermilk marinade, hand-dipped into Shack-made batter, dredged through seasoned flour and crisp-fried. It's topped with pickles, crisp shredded lettuce and a tangy Shack-made buttermilk herb mayo made with chives, parsley and thyme, and served on a pillowy potato roll.

The inspiration behind the Chick’n Shack lies in Shake Shack’s heritage as a modern 'roadside' burger stand. Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti said, “The introduction of chicken marks a new era for Shake Shack, staying true to our core menu while continuing to innovate new items our guests have asked for.'

The Chick’n Shack will launch in selected London Shacks on 25 April (Victoria Nova, Stratford, Leicester Square, Tottenham Court Road and Canary Wharf). Chick’n ShackTM will then land in Cardiff from 4 May, and lastly in Shake Shack Covent Garden in early summer.
