TGI Fridays has applied to Bolton Council for planning permission to turn the current Next store in Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park into a restaurant.
The restaurant will open in 2018, subject to approval, creating 80 jobs. The application is to change the units use from a shop to a restaurant, including takeaway and delivery services and an external seating area.
TGI Fridays is currently in the process of introducing a to-go menu in the UK, and the application will allow this to be carried out from the Middlebrook.
Once given the green light, TGI Fridays will join leisure and dining brands such as Frankie & Benny's, Vue Cinema, Bella Italia, Hollywood Bowl, ASDA and Marks & Spencer. The site has parking for 2,800 cars.
