From the owners of Donostia Social Club at Pop Brixton comes The Tapas Room, which has just opened in Broadway Market on Tooting High Street, in London's SW17.
The Tapas Room, which is owned by Paul Belcher and Adrian Copplestone, offers bar seating and serves up Basque-inspired tapas, charcuterie and cheese, alongside a range of sherry, and a selection of Galician vermouths, and cavas.
Everything is sourced through Belcher and Copplestone’s company, DSC Imports and associated wine suppliers. The pair have established partnerships with producers and distributors including Boutinot, Alliance Wines, Flavours of Spain and Delicioso.
The plates on offer are an extension of the menu at Donostia Social Club, with specialities from Basque and Spanish regions including charcuterie and cheese alongside classic tapas, such as Pan con tomate and Padron peppers, as well as unusual ones like Chicken liver parfait with pickled figs. For a sweet fix, there's Chocolate Macadamia Brownie with sherry glaze.
The Tapas Room's selection of produce can be enjoyed in-house, for takeaway, or though delivery via Uber, Deliveroo and Amazon. Opening hours are Tuesday-Saturday 12 until 11pm, and Sunday 12 until 6pm.
