Room 2 to open new aparthotel in Southampton


Room 2 confirms the development of a new aparthotel in Southampton. The new property will be at 1-8 Queens Terrace in Southampton and will offer around 71 studio rooms. The plans for the new hotel present that it should be completed by March 2018.

Designed by Project Orange, the Shoreditch based architects and designers, the rooms will have the advantage of large floor to ceiling heights and raised sleeping decks. The interior aims to showcase the golden age of cruise liners, hinting towards to Southampton’s importance in the cross-Atlantic travel.

On the ground floor of the hotel will be the public area which has been designed to be a space where people can work, have meetings or relax. The public area will have a grab and go coffee bar during the day, which will turn into a bar in the evening.
