Kricket’s latest venture is an adventurous next step in its journey. Headed up by founders chef Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell, the handsome 100-cover restaurant is located at the iconic Television Centre in West London.
The new menu advances Bowlby’s vision for marrying Mumbai flavours with British ingredients into an exciting new gastronomic territory with dishes set to surprise.
Known for its modern, seasonal twists on Indian dishes, Kricket’s newest project showcases Bowlby's flair with Indian spices, learned from his years in Mumbai kitchens and his passion for quality, locally sourced ingredients. The result is a thoroughly modern Indian-inspired menu that draws on tastes and foraged ingredients from the British countryside.
Dishes such as Venison & aged beef fat kebab, greengage chutney, smoked raita & hazelnut or Tandoori wood pigeon, smoke raita, garlic achhar, salli potatoes & pickled blackberries are explicit in documenting Bowlby’s journey through Mumbai and returning to England.
Indian breads from the tandoor are also a big feature. The leek and potato bread further demonstrates influences from Britain, as does the game keema naan, black vinegar & watercress. Signature dishes include the Samphire pakoras, Bhel Puri and Keralan Fried Chicken, which have become cult favourites on the London food scene.
The bar menu’s vibrancy continues apace with more of Kricket’s punchy, Indian-inspired drinks. These are in keeping with the ethos of the kitchen, changing seasonally and imbued with the aromas and spices of India.
