Mount Charles launches Freshly Chopped at Ulster Uni with six more planned

Irish foodservice provider Mount Charles launched its healthy eating concept, Freshly Chopped, at Ulster University (NI) this week with six more standalone units to open across the country.

Designed to 'meet the needs of the growing number of Irish consumers who want a meal that is healthy, delicious, and fresh', the brand is 'on a mission to make it as easy as possible for people to eat healthily'.

This includes a ‘create your own’ salad bar allowing customers to choose from 90+ ingredients and dressings, with all salads or wraps made fresh to order in front of consumers.

Director of campus life at Ulster University, Amanda Castray, commented, “With the student experience at the heart of our planning, we welcome Freshly Chopped and its innovative menu to the Belfast campus.

“The range of fresh and nutritious food and drinks, served fast, has received great feedback from students and staff alike.”

Trevor Annon, founder and chairman of Mount Charles, added, “We are delighted to launch Belfast’s first Freshly Chopped restaurant. We have been working closely with Ulster University to deliver an extensive rage of delicious and healthy eating choices for its students.

With the first ever Freshly Chopped now operating at Ulster University’s Belfast campus, Mount Charles is now set rollout six more standalone outlets across Northern Ireland in the next three years, with the flagship due to open in Donegall Square West this December.
