Seasoned caters for mental health initiative at The Shard

Leading London event caterer, Seasoned exclusively catered for the mental health awareness initiative ‘Can Anyone Hear Me?’ event at The Shard on Tuesday 18 December.

Can Anyone Hear Me? is the last in a series of four one-day summits held this year, highlighting mental health challenges faced by young adults. The idea was born out of a passion to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of depression faced by young people with mental health issues and provide a platform where young adults can have a voice where innovative, honest conversation can take place.

Seasoned catered for the all-day event on the 22nd floor of The Shard, serving a delicious working lunch and finger buffet, as well as a variety of refreshments and drinks over networking breaks throughout the day. Lunch menu options included a vegan spinach, leek & roasted tomato quiche, beetroot smoked salmon with cracked black pepper cream cheese on caraway and rye loaf as well as chocolate dipped choux buns for dessert.

A selection of red and white wines from Spain, along with classic bottled beers were served at the drinks reception and during breaks a whole host of herbal infusion teas, fresh juices, coffees and Life water were available. Treats on the day included danish pastries, homemade cookies and mince pies to add a little festive spirit to the occasion.

Can You Hear Me? is a collaborative initiative between the Lucy Rayner Foundation and Red Rocket Events team who aim to bring together representatives from various organisations including universities, charities, local government and health authorities, policy makers and fund raisers to join a conversation and discuss practical solutions that will have a lasting impact.

Managing Partner at Seasoned, Colin Sayers, said, “We are truly happy to be a part of such an important initiative that is tackling critical issues impacting our society, especially our younger generation. We wanted everything to go smoothly for everyone on the day, so guests can focus on the matter at hand without any distractions. It was a memorable day for the team, hosting such inspirational speakers and crucial discussions. Mental health issues are effecting everyone, and at Seasoned, we are looking at a number of initiatives to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace going forward.”
