The Honest Burgers chain has just launched its own beer - designed, brewed, costed and sold to Honest's wholesalers - by a selection of Honest staff members.
Launching this month, Been There, Brewed That is a Belgian Blonde pale ale, coming in at 3.9% and made from citra hops from the states. It was made in partnership with Wild Weather Ales and will be sold throughout each of the Honest stores.
It's part of a wider story and dedication to Honest's staff training and retention programme - giving team members the opportunity to try their hand in other fields and expand their experience base.
Eight team members in total took part in this exercise, with plans to roll it out across the group and repeat the exercise once this batch has been sold.
They were responsible for each part of the process - from designing the beer, briefing brewers, the illustrations and artwork, costing and then pitching and selling to Honest's wholesale suppliers.
