Chef Shaun Presland to launch pop-up before perm site in 2020

Australian chef Shaun Presland is coming back to the UK with contemporary Japanese-Austrailian pop-up restaurant, Pacific, launching on 7 November at 10 Heddon Street, Mayfair.

This new eatery is replacing the successful pop-up pasta restaurant from chefs Chris Leach and David Carter, which closed last weekend. However, the pair will be back in a permanent location soon.

Presland, who is a top sushi chef, is also planning a permanent restaurant next year and this pop-up is the perfect opportunity for those wanting a taster of what's to come in 2020.

The all-day menu will offer small plates such as Potato & Shiitake Mushroom Croquette, while there will be main dishes like Crispy Skin Hiramasa Kingfish with sweet ponzu buckwheat salsa, and Wagyu with wasabi chimichurri.

There will also be a regularly changing sushi menu based on the day's catch, and a seven-course tasting menu.
