Central England Co-op opens £650k Lowestoft store

Central England Co-op has officially opened its new store in Lowestoft investing over £650k in the area.

The food store, which is based in Pinewood Avenue, offers shoppers an expansive range of products and is fitted out with pioneering new energy efficient refrigeration technologies to minimise environmental impact.

The new opening has seen the previous neighbouring Westwood Avenue store close and all colleagues relocate to this larger, more modern site with a greater range of products.

The site offer includes fresh and local fruit and vegetables, an in-store bakery offering breads and pastries, chilled beers and wines, fresh and frozen product, Irresistible product ranges, and a great selection of food to go. It also has a Costa Coffee machine.

Open from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday, the store also has a free water refill station, seating areas and phone charging facilities, customer toilets, a free cash machine, and a free customer car park.

Store Manager Paul Baldwin said, “All of us here at the Pinewood Avenue store are proud to be part of such a great community in Lowestoft and are delighted to welcome everyone to come and enjoy our new store.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank local residents for their patience and understanding following the relocation, but hopefully everyone will enjoy the brand new store as much as we do.”
