New GM for Adam Handling Restaurants

George Hersey has been promoted to Group General Manager of the Adam Handling Restaurant Group (AHRG), just two years after joining the company as GM for the opening of The Frog Hoxton, Iron Stag and Bean & Wheat. He will be responsible for all AHRG’s sites across London.

Adam Handling commented, “George is a real star of the industry, and so valued in our business His quick progression with us reflects not only his natural ability to manage all operational elements of a business but also to help it thrive, even in these incredibly difficult times.”

As well as his operational and management talents, Hersey is a strong voice in the company’s sustainability commitments, maintaining the group ethos, building strong links with ethical companies and pioneers in East London during his time at The Frog Hoxton, and communicating the importance of reducing the industry’s environmental impact.

Nicola Gartenberg, Operations Director, said, 'George is incredibly passionate about making positive change in the industry. He's played a pivotal part in our Group's 'Why waste waste?' campaign and continues to be at the forefront of sustainability discussions, with his role on the WRAP advisory board.

'He has taken on the role as our Group GM at a turbulent time in the industry and we are excited to watch him to continue to grow with the Group.'

Before joining AHRG, Hersey worked at venues from Cornwall to Warwickshire from the age of fifteen, His first full-time job in hospitality was as General Manager at The Boot Inn, Lapworth, at 21.
