Prestige Purchasing extends freebie time for new One-Day Diagnostic service

Prestige Purchasing, one of the UK’s leading specialists in procurement and supply chain management, has made available its One-Day Diagnostic to all hospitality businesses with an annual (pre-Covid) food and drink spend in excess of £1m, entirely free of charge until 30 March.

The One-Day Diagnostic is a data driven service to help operators understand the key risks and commercial opportunities present within their supply arrangements, delivered in a speedy and time- efficient manner.

A key part of success for operators in the months and years ahead will be having the best performing supply chain in terms of cost, value, availability, quality, service, and innovation. Supply excellence does not happen by accident, and Prestige’s professional insights and industry-wide perspective identifies improvement goals and supports the development of robust plans to deliver margin improvement on difficult road ahead.

The service collects and analyses data in advance of a Diagnostic Day, which can be held using digital platforms such as Zoom. We host a meeting of key stakeholders prior to delivering a high-quality report at the end of the day.

The report includes analysis of supplier spend, supply strategy, ingredient pricing, ranging, delivery profiles, supplier management, technology, measurement, and organisation – benchmarking performance against peer businesses, and identifying future risks/opportunities.

David Read, Prestige Purchasing’s Founder and Chairman, (pictured), said, “As we enter this final phase of lockdown this is an ideal time for operators to take stock of the margin and efficiency improvements that can be delivered from within their supply chain. After all, there are precious few value- delivering changes that can be delivered whilst operations are suspended, and in a virtual environment.

'The One-Day Diagnostic has proved to be a popular and highly effective way of supporting the industry at this difficult time, and we are excited to open it up free of charge to both large and small businesses until the spring of this year.”
