PizzaExpress launches new menu, website redesign & extends supermarket range

PizzaExpress is going large on innovations this summer. There are new Dough Ball recipes on new menus, fresh deals on new supermarket products, and a new-look website.

Kicking things off is a brand-new summer menu with 16 new dishes alongside the traditional favourites. Dough Balls take centre stage with three new recipes joining the menu – loaded pesto and tomato, hot jalapeño and an indulgent baked cheese choice.

There’s big news for pizza too, with the launch of the new Romana BBQ Burnt Ends pizza - spilling with summer BBQ flavours from the crispy-caramelised ends of a 12-hour cooked beef brisket, and the highly anticipated Sloppy Vegan, Sloppy Giuseppe’s vegan cousin.

Also, for supermarket customers, PizzaExpress is dramatically increasing its Cook At-Home range. Seven new recipes have just launched at Tesco, and launching on 28 June in Tesco and Ocado there will be a brand-new range of three dipping sauces (perfect for the crusts), including the Sweet & Smoky BBQ sauce, as used on the new BBQ Burnt Ends pizza in pizzeria.

All this innovation will be championed by a new, vibrant and colourful look for PizzaExpress, including food photography, website and social content all launching nationwide on 21 June.

Shadi Halliwell, Chief Customer Officer, said, “Innovation has been at the heart of PizzaExpress since Peter Boizot first introduced ‘casual dining’ in the 1960’s. We’re very excited to be taking this to the next level in 2021, with delicious new flavours and dishes that customers can enjoy in our pizzerias, at home and everywhere in between!”

“As always we’ve listened intently to customers and worked tirelessly with our experts to develop our ideas to perfection. This is PizzaExpress going back to its roots, strengthening the brand for years to come. Our reinvented brand is strong, bold and ready to make some noise.”
