Rokit Drinks co-founders Jonathan Kendrick and John Paul DeJoria, add the latest Gold medals won by ABK Edel Spezialbier at the World Beer Awards 2021 to an already packed trophy cabinet.
Brewed since 1308 in the Bavarian town of Kaufbeuren, the ABK brewery was acquired by Rokit Drinks in 2013 and has since become the fastest-growing German beer brand in the UK.
In addition to the Gold Medal, ABK Edel also won the best Dortmunder-style lager in Germany.
Kendrick, Rokit's Chairman, said, “We’re delighted with these latest awards which further recognises the incredible quality of our traditional Bavarian beers.
“Given that our beers were not exported more than 20 miles from Kaufbeuren in all of its 700 year history until we acquired this incredibly historic brewery, it’s wonderful to see our award-winning beers available internationally.”
Now on sale in some 2,500 pubs, clubs and restaurants, as well as through major retailers such the Co-op across the UK, the company are rightly proud of the awards which recognise the supreme quality of their beers.

ABK is the official beer supplier to the London Bierfest (pictured) on 7-8th October. Old Billingsgate Market will be transformed into a Bavarian-style beer festival buzzing with live music, entertainment, authentic Bavarian cuisine and unlimited steins of ABK beer.
