Chicago Town partners with Gorillas delivery service

Dr Oetker's Chicago Town has joined forces with rapid grocery delivery service, Gorillas, to deliver taaasty pizzas to consumers in a hurry, as the nation prepares to sit glued to their TVs as anticipation for the football ramps up.

The partnership launches on Friday and sees the rapid delivery company stock Chicago Town Takeaway pizzas in its 36 warehouses across Greater London. Acton, Battersea, Clapham, Hackney, and Tottenham are a few of the areas that Gorillas delivers to.

The collaboration offers Gorillas app users the chance to have pizzas ordered, delivered, and cooked in just 30 minutes – 20 minutes less than it takes for the average takeaway to arrive – making it the perfect choice to enjoy whilst watching the big matches.

It comes as Chicago Town and Gorillas look to capitalise on and ‘Big Night In’ occasions set rise throughout the international tournament.

Market research agency Kantar also recently reported that takeaway pizza as a weekend together treat was in decline (-3.8%pts yoy) as consumers start to make cutbacks due to the cost-of-living crisis, while shop bought pizza was seeing the growth (+2.8%pts yoy).

Recent research from Chicago Town also showed that a majority of Brits (58%) spend £20 or more on a single takeaway pizza, which is four times the cost of a shop-bought alternative from Chicago Town, via Gorillas costing £3.75.

This means that not only will ordering Chicago Town via Gorillas save time, but pizza fans will also be able to save money.

Chicago Town will be promoting the partnership through geo-targeted social media campaigns, with organic and paid content appearing on the Instagram feeds of London residents, whilst also offering Gorillas users exclusive discounts on the app.
