Rosewood London appoints new Managing Director

“Tessa Gorman, Managing Director at Rosewood London”
Tessa Gorman has assumed the role of managing director at Rosewood London, succeeding Michael Bonsor, who is set to take on the leadership of the brand's upcoming Chancery Rosewood hotel.

Starting from January 1st, Tessa Gorman is set to take on the role, bringing with her a wealth of experience from previous positions at Aman, Bvlgari, Cheval-Blanc, and others. Her most recent role was as the general manager at One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro.

She said: 'I am thrilled to be joining the Rosewood family, a brand I have long admired, as managing director of Rosewood London. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this beautiful historic property, which has become an integral part of London life.

'After 17 years, I am returning to my home city, with its timeless blend of history and modernity and vibrant energy; and I look forward to joining the team as we continue to ignite the spirit of the destination into its next decade.'

Victor Clavell, senior vice-president of operations, EMEAC, added: 'It is a pleasure to welcome Tessa to the Rosewood family and to continue the success of Rosewood London in the UK. Tessa brings with her robust experience in luxury hospitality, and we're confident she will be a great asset to the team.'

Bonsor dedicated a decade to Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, initially joining as the hotel manager of the five-red-AA-star Rosewood London hotel in 2013. In 2017, he earned a promotion to the position of managing director for the Holborn property, coinciding with the year it received the prestigious Catey award for Hotel of the Year – Group.

He is set to transition to the Chancery Rosewood hotel in anticipation of its opening in London's Mayfair in 2025. The 144-room hotel is undergoing development within the Grade II-listed building that served as the US Embassy until 2017.
