Aramark secures new £1.9m contract from Chartwells

Contract catering giants Aramark has won a new £1.9m contact with Northbrook College in Sussex which will run for the next three years, with a possible two-year extension.

Aramark will take over from caterers Chartwells and will now be in charge of the catering at Northbrook College’s three sites including the University Centre Worthing, a 14-19 Centre and the Shoreham Airport Campus, home to aircraft and automotive engineering students. Aramark will also take over retail space and plans to design a new restaurant and ‘grab and go’ area for the University Centre.

Aramark then plans to create two apprenticeship positions filled by students at Northbrook who will be able to study alongside the role, as well as two “student ambassadors”, who will provide on-going feedback from students on the quality of the offer.

With 850 staff and 13,000 full and part-time students, Northbrook College is one of the largest educational establishments in Sussex. It offers many trade and professional courses from pre-university diplomas to university degrees.
