Gloucester Quays opens new £60m leisure quarter

Peel Outlets, part of The Peel Group, has formally opened its £60m leisure quarter in Gloucester Quays, what is now thought to be one of the largest mixed use waterside regeneration developments in the UK.

The 60 acre site has seen a new extension welcoming a 1,600-seat, ten-screen Cineworld and a 16,000 sq ft health and fitness centre operated by The Gym along with Ed’s Easy Diner, Zizzi, Chimichanga, The Real China, Loungers, Nando’s and PizzaExpress.

The new leisure quarter takes Gloucester Quays Outlet Centre to 33,630 sq m (362,600 sq ft). The 110-unit centre is expected to attract a footfall of 4 million per annum by the end of 2014. Gloucester, located around 110 miles to the west of London, is a cathedral city.
