Stansted Aiport reveals foodservice brands chosen for £80m revamped terminal

A line up of new restaurants, bars and cafes have been unveiled today as part of Stansted Airport’s £80m terminal transformation.

Over 70 individual food and beverage brands submitted tenders for just the 12 available units.

The final selection delivers a wide and varied choice for customers whether they want to relax in style or quickly ‘grab and go’ and caters for all budgets and tastes.

As part of the new brand line up at Stansted, M&S Simply Food will open in November 2014. The new Burger King will open for business later this year and all remaining cafes, bars and restaurants in Spring 2015.

SSP will operate James Martin Kitchen - a premium bakery, Starbucks and Cabin wine bar.

Other new outlets include: itsu, Harris + Hoole, Giraffe, Halo - a champagne bar, Leon operated by HMS Host, , Coast to Coast, Pret A Manger, and JD Wetherspoon - The Windmill Pub.

Screens are being installed in all cafes, bars and restaurants so that flight status information is never more than a quick glance away and with general seating available in the area too, passengers opting for take away options don’t have too far to go.
