Property investment firm, Commer Group has taken a 20% stake in independent operator the Bulldog Hotel Group.
Commer's Managing Director, Edward Walsh will now join Bulldog’s board as finance director.
The deal will also create a platform for an acquisition programme which will see the hotel group invest £20m over the next five years in a doubling of the estate.
The Bulldog Hotel Group owns properties in West Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire and County Durham.
