Muse to secure £100m Aberdeen quarter build

Morgan Sindall’s urban regenergation arm Muse, has been appointed as the preferred developer for the £100m Aberdeen mixed use development.

Aberdeen City Council made the final decision regarding the developer and Muse will now work in partnership with the council and Aviva Investors to rebuild the St Nicholas House site- previously operated as the council’s headquarters.

The proposed developments include the construction of new offices, a boutique hotel, restaurants and shops around a small civic square.

The council will lease the development from Muse and receive a proportion of the rental profits for 35 years, after which the site and development will transfer into council ownership.

A public consultation lasting 12 weeks will be carried out before any planning application is submitted. The site will be developed in a single phase and Muse aims for completion during 2016.
